Scope of ServiceThese services are provided within the scope authorized to licensed paralegals by the Law Society of Ontario. Where a matter falls outside that scope we say so plainly and can refer you, through our professional network, to almost any lawyer, paralegal, mediator, or licensed consultant your matter may require.

Hearing coaching
We rehearse with you: how to open, how to present each document, what questions to expect, how to answer without arguing, and how to make your closing point in the last two minutes when it matters most.
General steps for preparing any hearing
- Confirm the forum, the deadline, and exactly what must be filed and served
- Write a plain chronology of events with dates before touching any form
- Gather documents and label them in the order you will use them
- Identify the two or three facts your case truly turns on
- Prepare your evidence for each of those facts, and nothing else
- Anticipate the other side's strongest point and prepare an honest answer
- Practise out loud, timed, at least twice
- Arrive early, bring three copies of everything, and stay calm and courteous

Will you attend the hearing with me?
We can, as full representation within our authorized scope, and that is a separate retainer. If you prefer to appear alone, this service prepares you to do exactly that.
Is preparation cheaper than representation?
Usually yes, because you do the appearing. It suits straightforward matters where the facts are clear. For complex or high-value matters, full representation is often the better investment, and we will tell you honestly which one your matter calls for.
