Lawyer Referral Service

Study Permits

This application is outside our authorized scope, so we do not act on it ourselves. We gather your details, explain the process, and refer you to a trusted immigration lawyer or licensed consultant. A study permit application must convince an officer of two things: that you are a genuine student, and that your plan makes sense. We help you show both.

Referral Service, Not RepresentationThis is an application made to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, which falls outside our authorized scope of practice. JGPC does not prepare, file, or advise on these applications. What we do is gather your information, explain in plain language what the process involves, and refer you to a trusted immigration lawyer or licensed immigration consultant from our professional network. Any professional we refer you to is independent of JGPC, and their retainer and fees are strictly between you and them.

What this process involves

  • Initial study permit applications and extensions
  • Study plan and financial documentation review
  • Co-op work permit and status questions for students
  • Refusal review and reapplication strategy

Common questions

Can family accompany a student?
In some cases spouses and children may apply to accompany a student. Eligibility depends on the program and current federal rules, which we confirm at your consultation.
My program changed. Do I need to do anything?
Possibly. Changes to school, program, or level of study can affect permit conditions. Bring your permit and letters to a consultation before acting.
